Mondays are very special due to Friendship Circle. I love meeting up with my friends and the programs and lunches are top notch.

The Need: As seniors age, opportunities for social engagement and stimulating activities can become limited, leading to isolation and loneliness. Many senior women in Wellesley seek a welcoming space where they can connect, share experiences, and participate in enriching activities.
Our Response: Founded in 1949, Friendship Circle brings senior women from across Wellesley together for the simple joy of friendship. In partnership with the Wellesley Service League, WFA hosts weekly gatherings from mid-October to mid-May, offering a variety of engaging activities and a shared luncheon in a warm, welcoming environment.
The Impact: With approximately 24 active members, Friendship Circle provides seniors with opportunities to enjoy concerts, crafts, cooking demonstrations, chair yoga, and guest speakers from the community. These gatherings foster friendships, encourage lifelong learning, and promote well-being through social interaction.
Community Partners: Friendship Circle thrives through the support of Wellesley Service League and the Wellesley Recreation Department, ensuring that local seniors have a vibrant and supportive community to call their own.
