Ashley Murphy's Boston Marathon Run for Friendly Aid
On what started as a reasonable weather day, but end with rain (that wet stuff seems to be a new Boston Marathon tradition), Ashley Murphy ran as a charity runner on Friendly Aid's behalf.
Ashley, a pastor, is the Director of the Carter Spiritual Life Center in Wellesley, where she lives with her husband and two children. Her husband and young daughter are runners as well and her toddler son is probably not far behind. The funds that Ashley has raised will go toward our Holiday Voucher Program, which provides $40 Roche Bros. gift cards to low income Wellesley residents each November so they can purchase groceries to prepare holiday meals. Friendly Aid distributed these gift cards to about 200 households and individuals in 2018.
Thank you, Ashley! Another example of "neighbors helping neighbors."
