Holiday Programs

For over 100 years, Wellesley Friendly Aid has brightened the holidays of residents in need. In the early 1900s, Friendly Aid board members delivered baskets with turkeys and the trimmings.

Today, Friendly Aid distributes $40 in grocery gift cards for use at Roche Bros. along with a $10 gift card donated by Roche Bros., so our low-income neighbors can prepare and enjoy special holiday meals. In 2021, Friendly Aid provided certificates to 264 households.  Recipients are so grateful.

In December, Friendly Aid hosts holiday suppers at the three public housing developments for elderly and disabled residents.
