Networking Forum

Wellesley Friendly Aid hosts an annual forum for local non-profit organizations, schools and town offices that provide assistance to residents. The forums inform and update participants on the various resources available to Wellesley residents and facilitate networking between the organizations.

Forum speakers address issues relating to the well-being of residents and ways to strengthen the community. Past topics include housing, jobs, skills training, transportation and mental health.

The theme in 2016 was "Wellesley's Green Wave: How Sustainability is Transforming Our Town." Speakers from the Wellesley Green Collaborative addressed topics such as the the local plastic bag ban, the new WasteWise Wellesley campaign, the installation of solar panels by a local temple and gas leaks.
